Speed issues
It has been noted that logged in users may experience some slower page loads.
This has to do with the number of permission based modules on this site and to some degree the hosting environment. Once everything is stable then I will turn aggressive caching on and that should help a lot but for now, too much is changing so cache is a bad idea.
The only solution is to log out and browse as an anonymous user.
To give you an example of what happens lets say this site is the White House.
Anyone can walk up and take a look from a block away, there are no restrictions and you will not encounter any security checks. (anonymous users)
If you want to walk on the grounds, well then of course you can but you will be subject to some limited security measure which take time to implement (authenticated users)
If you want to actually go inside the building then there are even MORE security measures and you are placed under tighter scrutiny and restrictions...which takes time (site owners).
If you want to run up and give ol bushy a hug or a kick in the nuts then you are going to wait a very long time while all the security precautions are taken care of (administrator, me)
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for the patience, I will get things cached as soon as the rest of the content is up.
Rik
